Writing is what my work revolves around — what makes prose art at all, how a sentence gets its shape, what a line can do on the page that it can’t do from a stage, and where craft leaves off and soul expression begins.
Here are some essays I wrote in spring 2026. Not long after, I deleted all social media, and scrolling in general: I stopped giving my free time away to algorithmic scroll and started taking control of using tech to create. It’s been a refreshing experience, and I highly suggest more of us unplug from the SocialMediaSlop. <3
Both are Alexis Dawn originals, start to finish — no model wrote a sentence of either. I am a playful writer, with an English degree and years of teaching essay writing and other youth development work. Most proudly, I was in 4-H, raised turkeys, and worked every summer camp I could. I have an interest in stand-up comedy, collect old nonfiction books, and have a lot of strong opinions on fiction.
Do you use technology, or are you being used by it? A paper topic picked off a list at random, a changed major, and a name for the divide that replaced the one I wrote about.
Entering is easy, exiting takes intention.

Nothing is truly free and your name is easy to lose. So is time. So are your feet.
